City of Sandy - Gateway to Mount Hood

SandyNet is a telecommunications utility operated by the City of Sandy for the residents and businesses of the Sandy area. Services include:

  • Wireless high-speed service within the City of Sandy, and in the Kelso/Orient/Bluff and Bornstedt areas. See the SandyNet Wireless page for details. SandyNet is switching to wireless as the preferred method for providing broadband service.
  • Residential and business DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) broadband service in areas of the city that are unable to receive a wireless signal. Due to technical limitations with phone lines, this service is only available in or near the Sandy city limits.
  • Very high speed business service for larger business customers.

As a non-profit utility, SandyNet operates on a break-even basis.

Please use this web site to learn more about SandyNet, and to sign up for service. If you have comments, or questions not answered by the web site, please contact us at info@SandyNet.org.

Additionally you can visit SandyNet's Blog for the latest updates on current projects.

Webmail. If you have a SandyNet e-mail account, you can send and receive your e-mail from anywhere in the world using a web browser. Simply click on this link (or type in the address): http://mail.sandynet.org. Log in with your e-mail name and password, and start sending and receiving mail.

Pricing. Large telecom monopolies are notorious for their aggravating pricing practices--bait-and-switch deals, big increases after introductory prices expire, etc. (see an Oregonian article on the topic). SandyNet's rates and pricing have always been consistent, with no surprises, and our residents and businesses appreciate it.
